About Sarah

A goofy yet grounded girl-next-door, Sarah is a native Missourian livin’ it up in California, where she recently moved from New York City.  She is a performer, yoga instructor, and all-around nice person.

She started acting in community theatre at the tender age of seven (in the most culturally inaccurate production of The King and I in known history) and was totally hooked from then on.  After earning a BFA in performance from Missouri State University, completing an (intense, challenging, totally wonderful) apprenticeship at the Berkshire Theare Festival, and flitting about Europe with a backpack and a train ticket, she settled in New York.

Sarah’s most treasured accomplishments since transplanting to New York include completing the Atlantic Theater Company’s two-year conservatory program, forming production company The Common Tongue with her Atlantic classmates and artistic family, helping form sketch comedy teams Hungry Hungry Hobo and Literally Everyone, and writing and performing her solo show Maybe Later.

A longtime closeted hippie, Sarah became certified as a yoga instructor in early 2014, and her love for yoga, travel, the outdoors, and general earth-lovin’ kinds of things took her on a new adventure to California.  She is excited to start combining her interests in bodywork and performance and seeing what happens.

Aside from acting/singing/theatremaking, Sarah loves practicing yoga, obsessing over comedy (#1 favorite movie of all time: The Jerk), and cooking/eating vegan goodies.  She currently lives in Santa Cruz, and is especially looking forward to someday seeing a whale.
